what does putting a 1.6 on carbs involve and what power gains do u get is it expensive? | |

If your changing the engine anyway I would go for either 2.0 or a 1.6 16v all depends on how much you want to spend | |

You can get a new cam and put it on tb's or carbs, but the 16v engines are a lot more tunable. Also 1.4 isn't really a very big engine to tune up, you'll spend a lot of money and not get much power and loose a lot of reliability... | |

Thinking of getting a 1.4 SRi engine to replace my 1.2 8v. What sort of tuning can be done to these engines , seeing what sort of power ? |
