Hi all,
With reference to my '99 1.7 diesel corsa, I've noticed an oil drip from between the alternator and vacuum pump. I rang Vauxhall's for a price of a new seal (I assumed that was the problem if there is one there;)) and was told I could only get a new alternator and pump combination for £195:mad: I think a seal would be a fiver at a guess if I could find one, so am I being ripped off? What is the alternative to this i.e a secondhand one :).
Sadly, the alternator that is on was a recon put on by the previous owner about six months ago.

Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Phil.
