dont use cork gaskett there shit use a 2.0 8v or 2.0 ecotec gaskett if u use the ecvotec ul need to fit shorter bolts

u need to place one cork gasket on top of the baffle plate and one undernieth baffle plate, they squesh it all together.
so top gasket joins to block and baffle-plate, and the bottom gasket joins bottom of baffle plate and the sump its self, the baffle plate is known as sandwhich plate, when i did mine i never used any silicone or anything as its nastard if u need to do it again, plus mine has not leaked since i did it:thumbs:
plus kool tip why my sump was off i had it powder coated looks dogs

Just liberally cover the whole lot in gasket silicone.

Ive got the sump cork gasket, the baffle plate the baffle rubber gasket with metal bits in and the pan.
I know the cork gasket should be stuck onto the block with red hermatite, but does the baffle plate then go onto that then the rubber gasket then the sump pan?
or does the rubber gasket get stuck onto the block with hermatite then the baffle in place then the cork gasket on the sump pan?
