That post is the advert for the turbo kits. Think you need a C20NE engine for the turbo kit rather than the C20SEH because the NE has a lower compression ratio. Can't run over a bar of boost either without LET pistons. You should be able to get it up to 12psi with C20XE injectors and 14psi with LET injectors. They run about 200bhp though which is rather good :)

i mean, look at performace figures for an astra gte 8v. they what, 8.5 to 60 and 130mph or something. so that same engine in a lighter car its gonna be faster.

if you got it all for next to nothing, well worth doing in my opinion.

kk, i probably's will get a XE put in l8a, bt i've got this engine and conversion kit for next to nothing so i may aswell use it :D

just was'nt sure wether there was going to ne much of an advance between my 1.4 and this engine, bt if its going to be pulling speeds like that i think its going to be well worth putting this engine in.

cheers for the help n e wayz :thumbs:

true indeed ed. then again if the engine is costing nect to nothing, isnt a bad start. a bloke on mig has a turbo'd 8v, from brazil or something and sells turbo kits for them.

Could put it on throttle bodies, or on twin 45's... I'm sure you can get a different cam for them too. Also a 4-2-1 manifold would be helpful... All sorts of stuff is available, it's just how much money you want to spend on it. I will mention it before somone else goes and whines on about it... You'll get more bhp per £ on the 16v engine...

7.5 is quite nippy indeed. faster than a 1400sri for sure.

can tune them not as much as the 2litre 16v but there have been ones running carbs with about 150bhp

0-60 in about 7 and half, top speed of 135, 1.4mile in 15.8

thats based on a 2litre 8v i raced on 1/4 mile at crail

probably be about the same as a 106gti really

I'am getting a C20NE engine fitted into my corsa sri next monday, the engine is coming out of a astra sri. Obviously the performance is going to be better but can anyone give me an idea of how quick it will be.

eg. 0 - 60 times, Top Speed, quater mile, etc....

Rekon it will beat a 106 GTi?
ne help wud b gr8 cheers
