Test the fan too by connecting it directly to the battery with some wire to see if it turns on, next step is to replace the sensor as Adam-D said. | |

sounds like something like that... but before changing stuff i think you're best getting someone to have a look at it, so that you arent just wasting miney changing stufff when you aren't sure whats wrong | |

sounds like ure thormostat is stuck shut so it is not opening. when ure engine temp gets up (when ure engine gets hot the thermostat opens letting the hot water out into raditor which cools down) then when water is cool in engine thermostate closes, then repeats when water in engine gets hot again | |

if it goes over 100 too far then you have a problem, but just under 100 is ok. | |

does it go to 100 when she's driving or when she's stopped in traffic? | |

MY misses has a 1.2 8v corsa and the temperature gets close to 100 degrees most of the time. |
