Well went to the local repair place, and was told not to worry about it for now. The passenger side is just stressed, and drivers side isnt worth worrying about. If it gets worse I got qouted 120, with respray to the side of car. | |

mine were cut out - a thick plate welded on from the back of the pilalr, shaped to fit, then the original bit was welded back in place - nto had a slight hint of a crack in 3 years + and they were in realyl bad condition | |

mine were welded from the inside of the pillar. | |

Im taking it in to a local guy that im tolds good tomorrow am (Sat). Will post cost, and repair detail on here. | |

Also they should drill the existing crack at both ends to round it off to get rid of the tear point | |

make sure they weld it and not just sand and use filler as the crack will come back. | |

cost me £190 including a huge dent in the side of the car nad all the car park dings fixed and oen whole side fo the car resprayed - just afetr I had it - make sure they do a good job tho - peoplego on about the cracks reappearing but if they put a strengthening plate behind it and make a good weld job - u wont have a problem | |

I did a search, but cant find a rough idea of how much it should cost. Dont wanna get done over. |
