ahhh man, bollox. im sure your right though adam cos surely if it was the clutch it would'nt pull off in 3rd. i might have made the linkage rod slightly to short maybe

re-align the linkage :lol:

i had this problem when my linkage pin started poppin gout.... lost some gears to start with.... then was left with 2nd onlyonce it popped out completly

your clutch is worn out, i could smell it when you opened your bonnet, sounds like its not disenguaging, try adjusting the clutch cable so the pedal sits higher.

xe corsa, could it be the modded linkage? i thought it was the clutch as i had to give too much gas in 1st and 2nd to get it to move but realised that its 3rd i been puttin it in,1st,2nd and reverse just aint there. but when its cold the car is fine
