it will only come out if it is bang on straight! so you need to have the suspension arm out of the way

I like the remove the bottom ball joint and tug the mofo out, there's more weight behind it that way ;)

take anti roll bars off (will need to to get engine out)

undo the CV from the hub end the 30mm castle nut

pull the shaft out of the hub so all the shaft is held in by is the gearbox end

hold the suspention leg out of the way

line the shaft up so its straight and then pull it and it should pop out.

if the inner cv is stuck in the box, good luck gettin it out, i have a box here from my conversion with a cv stuck in it, cannot get it out for shit, and the cv has broken up off the shaft.
so box is scrap

started on the engine swap and got stuck with the shafts.

seperated the right hand one but cant get it out of gearbox and cant seperate the left hand one at all.

in the haynes it says u dont need to disconnect them from the hubs is this true?

also cant undo tie bar or anti roll bar is it still possible to manouver the engine and gearbox out?
