i belive so mate, we used the old 1 off the shagged engine and connected it to the new engine whilst it was on the floor, everything was connected but ill double check.

does it have a female spade connection on it?

that goes by the inlet manifol near the airfilter on the top theres a lil brass thing sticking out of it.

have you connected the starter up properly

if there no lights at all theres wires not connected

if the earth on the engine or at the back of the engine it wont work

hmmm, no idea mate.


did you get a haynes?

if you do have one, then look at the diagram for the loom, and see what it does :thumbs:

theres still one loose wire though.At the start of the loom, there like a black thin wire leading to a female connection, ive looked everywhere but carnt see wher eit go's....this might be the problem but i dought it

Ive just fitted the battery, connection etc and im not getting any power to the car...ive tested the fuse box and im getting 0.00 volts...battery is reading 12volts.

Nothing is working ecept the stupid lights on my gearknob which i think runs off its own battery.

help:boggle:
