Get a genuine Vauxhall gasket - it's a compacted wire mesh rather than the hard ceramic gasket that motor factors tend to supply.

Not sure if it makes much of a difference, but I've always thought the wire version would seal better as it expands.

/\ like he said its a gasket between cat and down pipes, yes it will rattle if not it might be loose baffles in a silencer or the actual Cat

Where is it blowing? Does he mean the downpipe gasket?

my exhaust is blowing and rattling, my mate said the graphite ring needs replacing, will this stop all that?
