Get some alloys with 35 profile tyres. You won't be getting a puncture with them unless you get a hammer and nail out

looks like its all mounted on just one box, couldnt you just drop down back seats and slide it towards the front of the car? that'd save taking it out when you needed to get to the wheel well. jamesw's lift out floors a good idea as well. personally i dont have that problem as my boots empty :o

mines about £100/year, and it covers me for any car I'm a passenger/driver in, not just my own. Quite handy as most of my friends are about as mechanically minded as a dog turd, and let their cars run out of oil/water/petrol etc. (oh, it's fucking happened!) and don't have breakdown cover.

I was worried about losing the spare wheel, until I realised I'd driven for over a year without a jack in the car anyway.
