Depends in some cases yes in others no, im lowered 40mm on apex springs and shocks and have 205/40 R17 tyres. mine only rub on the drivers side rear for some reason at the end of the day when you get the wheels bung em on and see, but as beardo said I would advise getting 16s as youll get a better ride and will not have any probs with the arches, I want 16s now! I would also advise getting a spring and shock kit instead of just springs, but this all depends on your financial situation.

would be better to get them with 205/40/17 tyres

thank you very much for all your thoughts, so if they will fit with standard suspension, what would need to be done if it was lowered 40mm on Gmax springs? would this need arch work etc?

Thanks,

Matt

16's
i had 17's on from feb to nov this year - really slow the car down and make it look like a tractor, pls if u want to lower means arch mod > more cost.
plus with 205/40 tyres you really feel every bump on the road

it'll still be fine with lowering.

rear aches could do with debolting and bonding back on.

(if you are lowering that is)
