type E are grey....

type S are blue

typre R are red

supposibly better the further up the range u get, but the new DVC type S are meant in practice to be nigh on as good as type R's for a fair bit less cash.

Im not an ice nutter, just want a bit of bass. My mate has a 10" sony sub, and itd good, but not quite enough, so thought 12" would be a good bet, and not take up too much room:thumbs:

hiya, my advice would be to stay away from the infinity reference amp.The gain dial on mine snapped today and was rolling about inside the amp.I have the amp right here infront of me and can tell you that, the outta casing is made well, but the coponents are very cheap (also got the casing undone to fetch the dial!)....ive only had mine 2 weeks!

dunno much about crunch amps but i know alpine 10's do give a punchy sound, so yeah give it a try its pretty cheap and the amp is rated with a good power output...

On this subject would this be worth a purchase? http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+cPath+60_98_170+products_id+2230
Just wondering as I want bass but i want some clearness aswell if you know what i mean not just thud thud. and ive been told apline are good for this. plus the 10inch will take up lees space and i listyen to dance and hip hop and anyhting apart from noise so this should be okay coping with the fast dances beast that a 12" wouldnt.

cheers for opinions

cheers mate, it was the price that attracted me to it really.

And i know of a few people with infinity 6x9's and were well pleased with them. So hopefuly this will be as good value for the money
