quote: ive seen them cheaper than that  carry on googling my friend :| eitherway, invertors are shite for games consoles considering your going from - 12v to 240v, then from 240v back down to 12volts and 5volts for the PS2. Plus power consumption (sp) will be alot greater that normal, due to the invertor wasting alot of power (in terms of heat etc). And using a 12v PSU unit will have better power consumption over using it in the house (fair enough it will be small, but still noticable). Plus invertors are not the greatest thing to have on a DC connection, as they often cause spikes in the power...which is not great if you have a decent stereo system install and other valuable equipment. Eitherway, if you going to do it properly you would spend abit of time researching and get a 12v PSU. If you want to bodge it get an invertor - its simple :| ps - im sure it wouldnt be hard to build a decent power supply, considering you just need to smooth the power coming in and use regulators for the 5volt stuff. Have a google

i have no interfearence using mine mate, i suppose it depends where its located and how well its designed, but mine seems fine. only thing is, it makes ur warrenty void if you put the 12V power supply in the ps2

if you want a professional job, DONT use an inverter because a) it causes alot of interfearence and b) you loose quite abit of power using them.
