	sorry if you think im beeing a ars but its just ppl dont listen, like when I said I dont want speakers on my parcel shelf as i live in a high crime area and I get loads of replays saying just put 6x9 on the shelf :(... plus PS2 is shit any ways dont fuck a nice car up by putting one of these in... and motorspeed I take that back I know it was a fold out one but did not know it was a face off version, and you Fing lucky to live that close and not have high crime area (my area is Highest group insurance i.e the car has to have an alarm before they insure you)... ow this might help PS2 In Car Power Adaptor - Now you can play your PS2 in the car with this In Car Power Adaptor, power your PS2 from any 12v car lighter socket. Warranty Period: 12 months not exacly 40quid... ive seen them cheaper than that :rolleyes: carry on googling my friend :\| eitherway, invertors are shite for games consoles considering your going from - 12v to 240v, then from 240v back down to 12volts and 5volts for the PS2. Plus power consumption (sp) will be alot greater that normal, due to the invertor wasting alot of power (in terms of heat etc). And using a 12v PSU unit will have better power consumption over using it in the house (fair enough it will be small, but still noticable). Plus invertors are not the greatest thing to have on a DC connection, as they often cause spikes in the power...which is not great if you have a decent stereo system install and other valuable equipment. Eitherway, if you going to do it properly you would spend abit of time researching and get a 12v PSU. If you want to bodge it get an invertor - its simple :\| ps - im sure it wouldnt be hard to build a decent power supply, considering you just need to smooth the power coming in and use regulators for the 5volt stuff. Have a google :thumbs:

	i have no interfearence using mine mate, i suppose it depends where its located and how well its designed, but mine seems fine. only thing is, it makes ur warrenty void if you put the 12V power supply in the ps2

	if you want a professional job, DONT use an inverter because a) it causes alot of interfearence and b) you loose quite abit of power using them. I would do a google for PS2 12v PSU's and order one. They cost about 40 quid and take about 20minutes to fit and you just feed it 12v :) plus it saves abit of power on the normal figures as the ps2 requires 5volts and 12volts as standard :)

	you need an inverter... about 20quid from maplins (www.maplin.co.uk) as you said you can either hard wire it, or wire it straight to the battery

	i havent got it yet- waiting for me birthday money to come through. ITs bad ass for the price, plays cds mp3s and dvds, touchscreen, does everything apart from brush your teeth and its only just over a grand! cant go wrong really....but need a ps2 in my car for when i get bored at school!

	What is the easiest way to install a ps2 in my car? ive got a mk3 rover 216. Im getting on these... and obviously i have a ps2. Whats the best way to get power to the ps2? power inverter from the cigarette lighter and plug the ps2 into that or are any ways or getting power directly from the battery?
