got the engine on its own no gearbox or ecu..can someone list what i need as im buying the stuff over a few months..thnxs

to make it non ps just use the belt and tensioner, and alternator bracket from a 1.4 16v non pas.

you will need the 1.6 throttle cable and brake servo hose!

dunno if its p/s yet im gonna ring the breakers at the weekend and get possibly get my handson it depending on how big the pay packet is this month :)..my 1.2 8v is non p/s

ok drive shafts will fit

is the engine p/s and is yours p/s?

if there both non p/s you can use the 8v mounts

p/s the engine can be converted to non p/s by using the 8v alternator, a sri 8v lower pulley and mixing the alt bracktry
and a 8v drive belt

go to a scrappy and get some bolt end fuel pipes cut em off and join to yours

get a icv and fit it before you fit the engine
timing belt etc

new oil and gerbox oil

and you will need a gsi cat as the 1.2 wont fit

ok im looking to convert my 1.2 8v to a 1.6 16v gsi.. i can get hold of the engine , gearbox ecu etc..i just wanted to know what else i need for the conversion.. i have v6 brakes already fitted and suspension sorted..im just after a list of parts so i can get it sorted..thanks..
