well it worked fine in my old car which i sold the night before (friday) then the next morning (saturday) i brought my new car so it wasnt even a whole day between changing

sounds like the ic chip is shafted (think its the ic somethin like that anyway) make sure its plugged in properly etc first...if your head unit is under 12 months old get it sent away for free repair otherwise its gonna cost you a bit to get it fixed.

What head unit is it?

ive just had a P-reg corsa sport and it came with the standard radio/cassette player and when i turned iton the radio was working fine through the speakers, but i took this out so i could put my own head-unit in and i connected it but nothing is coming out of the speakers although it is playing:boggle:
