how??u have to have high current to melt a fuse, high resistance will reduce the current/voltage etc fuses dont go for high resistance i'd say one of your frayed wires on ya fuel pump had been shorting somewhere. In the whole time i've worked in avionics i've never seen a fuse blow for high res, and i never will caus eit just doesnt happen, the unit will just stop working due tot he high resistance and so lack of voltage/current/PD

check theres nothing in the cig lighter. Stupid i know but ive done it myself with a coin and my sister did it with an earring

high resistance wont pop a fuse! it has to be a short or too much current it has to melt! Look for a nick in a wire maybe behind your headunit if u've changed it recently thats the most obvious

check the wiring down the back of the dash board.a wire must have freyed causing high resistance and popping fuse.same thing happened with my fuel pump fuse

can any body help me my fuse for my radio/rev counter/fuel gage/temp gage keeps on blowing what is wrong any one please help
