although i am interested in corb's 16v brakes that i think he is selling for £50 plus shipping so i can't go wrong at that price

the weight of the brakes really wont be noticable, and they look the tits!

my budget is around 150-200. i have heard that v6 brakes weigh a ton though and i only have a tiny engine at the moment (looking for a 1.6 engine around september)

Mintex 1144 pads :thumbs:

Grooved discs, Brembo Maxi disc seem the REAL budget choice. :thumbs:

Upsize the discs/calipers top either 2.0L ATE or the Vectra 288mm calipers/discs but you'll need them re-drilling.

Or a fancy set of 4pots, whats your budget?

if you really want to improve brake performance then fit uprated calipers with the matching discs and pads. If you don't want to do this the standard Vauxhall stuff is OK.

Fitting uprated discs and pads does little to improve brake performance IMHO

i am thinking of upgrading my standard brake discs and pads as my standard ones now need replacing and thought i may aswell get sum better ones!

has anyone got any recommendations like green stuff, ebc, black diamond etc?

i appreciate all advice given!
