hlafords are always wrong. i went in there the other day. if they had an rca aux in lead for an alpine 9853 h/u to conect up the harmen carden ipod thingy. no we dont stock them. and it wont work any way. so after ten mins of trying to explain what part i wanted they stil said they didnt have it. even after i showed them it in a mag some where. so thought ok. walked off over to the audio glas cabinet. took one glance and lo n behold it was staring me right in the face. went to ask them to open the case and shut them all right up.

but as for wireing up ur subs to ur amp. you have to watch out for what the amp can handle e.g ohms and rms etc at each ohm. if you get these wrong or wire it up wrong bang goes ur amp or ur sub.

cant be bothered to read all of that. but to be fair, you obviously know nothing about ICE either if you go to Halfrauds to ask.

yeah i dont exactly know everything but everyone expects you to know everything and we end up blagging quite a few things tbh.

We rang up a few other stores around the country asking for "Elbow Grease" some of them said you mean LG Grease we said no and they were like ummmmm, told them we'd bought it there before and they were like o ummm if you come in then I'm sure we'll have it, blaggin or what.

So we rang round a few more asking for stabilisers and then saying they were for a unicycle coz we kept falling off lmfao!!! they were like yeah im pretty sure we will have some for that, bring it on it and we'll have a proper look!!!! ROFL

They aren;t trained to give advice, just there to sell

walk into a maccy d's and ask how many calories is in a big mac, or how many weight watchers points is in a chocolate milkshake

if you want specialist advice, go to a specialist ice shop

yeah i work in halfords and didnt have a clue about anything...just kinda learnt as i went alone n kinda knew more than most anyway, but they do actually take random people with no experience of cars and chuck them on audio / parts and they dont have a clue what their on about. Everything usually gets passed to me and my m8 which is really gay

gotta admitt half of them dont know their arse from their elbow, they seem to think takin young guys in off the street and training them up is the way to go,the only problem is they aint got the staff at store level with the knowledge to train them in the first place

the mono jbl bass amps are a 4 ohm amp but depending on the voltage goin in they can can right down to 1ohm without too much strain being put on it,i would imagine the instriuctions recomend running them parrallel as oppossed to in series,u could run them both parrallel and in series which means u could potentially run 8 subs direct of the amp,but 4 of which will run at 8ohms which is good for the amp but wont give u the bass ud expect

oh i run the ripspeed department of my local halfords by the way lol:lol:

i went into my local halfords store asking about different wireing systems on my two subs. im using a mono jbl bass amp. and they tried to tel me my amy isint designed to run two subs its not even powerfull enough to run 1 . so going on the jbl website i find the wireing diagrams to wire up to 4 subs up to it
there lame!!
lol
