thanks a lot for your help guys, saved my self some money by doing the pin test my self, its quite simple really

the fault code was=

92- Camshaft sensor - Faulty hall effect sensor or circuit!!!

what exactly does this mean, were abouts is it located, is it a DIY job or somthing for the experts??? :boggle:

wat further damage can this cause? wil it be ok to still drive the car?

Dont be a cheep skate and get your ass to vauxhall and ask them to put it on tech 2 for a look at the fault code.
This will then tell you what the problem is and how much to cure.
Knowing what the fault is will tell you if you can diy fix or not.
Better to find out sooner than latter if not you could try looking for a new engine.......mmmm wounder whats the cheepest option.

2 days ago the engine electronic management light came on while doing a 3point turn?

its a 1.6 Gsi 16v C16XE "L"reg 1994 with 80k miles

the handbook says the car will be runining on emergency running program and it may use more fuel and cause damage to the cat, and i have to avoid long journeys?

i dont wanna pay shite loads for vauxhall to check wats wrong!

can sumone tell me how to do the pin test to check the fault code myself?

cheers:wave:
