I had a tapping noise when accelerating a few weeks ago, was the exhaust manifold gasket. | |

could be the hydraulic lifters, but if its not that i'd have suggested check everything that uses oil, or pulleys and belts | |

The only person would be a trained mechanic who knows what they are listening for. Is it banging, tapping, rattling, whistling, blowing? Could litterally be anything, is it top end bottom end, gearbox? I VERY much doubt anyone on here owns a crystal ball. | |
