when you change coolant you should fill with 3 litres of AF nd then top to the top with water then turn the heater to hot inside car then run untill the radiator fan comes on then put cap back on.

yes the heater is run off the cooling system hence why it takes 3 mins to warm up cos thats how long it takes for engine to warm up. the heater working is usually a good sign the water is getting round every where nicely.

Heater works fine. Takes about 3mins to get upto full heat from cold. Why do you ask, is the heater in some way connected to the cooling system of the car? Sorry for my ignorance on the subject :o

Just a question but I changed my coolant about a year ago, undid the bottom rad hose, let it all drain out. Then did it back up and filled with anti-freeze/water mix through the cap. I never bled it but have had no problems, should I bleed it by doing what you say above?

you bleed coolant by running engine with filler cap off untill it boils... air should be gone then
