maybe the guy doesnt want to be paying 2litre insurance costs, or maybe a 2litre doesnt interest him, the 1.4 16v's are nice little engines, and with the right mods are capable of good power, dont let the engine size fool u

i would imagine that it is an 1.2 8v.

i would think that the 1.4 16V would be a very bigg difference and well worth it if u have come by an engine handy.

u'd stick that in in a few hrs if u have all the parts

chip out of the old key to match the transponder
maybe a throttle cable
headertank and rad for 16v (thinking yours is a 1.2 8v)

i went 1.28v to 1.4, worth it alot, i know mines not standard but 44 to 86 is still a big jump

you need what you've said as well as a mpi fuel pump, and a 16v header tank

fuel pump and bigger breaks i imagine, and ecu but as already said not really worth the hassle, 1.2-2.0 is the way forward ;)
