yes, both were 12v, they didnt do a j plate either, unless its a conversion into a mk2 golf.

im sure they are 2.8 V6. The 2.9 V6 was in the Corrado I think

No he has never driven one before mate, going to see it later must drink the fuel like there is no tomorrow though would u advise buying it or spending 2.5k elsewhere, Regards Paul...

i thought they were 2.8 and the later 24v was 2.9?

you can change the heads over nice and easy afaik.

that price dosnt seem too much. depends on condition etc. though.

has your mate driven one before? he may be dissapointed, they arnt the most lively of cars! quick once your moving but not that great off the line

Mates wanting to buy a golf, he says the engine is a 2.7 v6, is this right and if so whats the pros and cons of this engine its going for 2.5k is this a rip off cos it is on a j cheers for any info people, going with him to test drive it later on so would be greatful if we knew some decent info before we go many thanks Paul...:thumbs:
