the 1.4 and 1.6 will be the same 'dificulty' to fit, not a big job for either.

you'll need engine, loom, gearbox, manifold. (250-500 from breakers) and most good mechanics should be able to do it, bout a days work.

Not really worth the hassle to put a 1.4 in unless your strapped for cash and insurance is an issue. if you get a 1.6 either go for a low milage x16xe from a sport, or the other option is the slightly more powerfull c16xe from GSi's. c16xe's react well to all tuning as is easy to get 150bhp from it with a few extra pennies. and will handle 100times better than a c20xe:thumbs:

i have a 1.0 corsa sting and am getting frstrated with the pathetic performance of the car, i was thinking of doing a few different engine conversions but am wondering what engines would fit in easiest

i.e if i fitted a 1.6 16v or 1.416v would the looms be the same or would it complicate things

i dont really want to go the c20xe conversion as id never get insured and i do high milage for work and need to keep some good mpg
