agreed i used smooth finish hammerite, i went for silver it looks better all nice and shiney, preperation is the key but the best thing about hammerite is you can paint it straight onto rust

i used the red caliper paint on my astra when i had it it came up really well but it was 93 and took ages preppin em wi the corrosion an rust....

if they're in gd nick u'll get a top finish usin the kit.....just the one u buy in the likes of halfords


IMO red doesnt look tacky as most sports cars like porsche etc have em red....i did me own silver for a change but can't warm to ppl usin lairy greens/golds etc

Mine were done with hammerite and they are ok. They have started to flake every so slightly though. Couldve been spilt brake fluid though that caused that.

Thinking of painting my new calipers (V6) Red when i get them on thursay, anyone thinks this will look nice (silver car) OR too tacky?

Drums painted black too, was going to use hammerite is this best does n e one know?
