i just been out in me new 1.3 diesel corsa with trade plates on and when u come off throttle then you can hear it dumping dead loud!!! | |

point is ... turbo diesels run a lower boost than petrol cars, so in turn tend not to dump*. But, depends on what car it is eg : Escort 1.8 TD running lower boost than 306 DTurbo, so as standard, 306 will dump, escort wont. Best advice I would give is chip your car. this will run ur car at a higher boost, thus increasing the chance of dumping. | |

The dump valve itself will be exactly the same as from a petrol car. As with most things, the better quality, the better the sound/reliability etc. so splash out and get a good quality twin piston D/V. | |

is there any way of getting a dump valve from a petrol car to fit on a turbo diesel. will one from a r5 gt go on an astra 1.7td??? |
