I have drilled my air box and fitted a K&N panel filter! Makes a noticeable difference. Worth doing, for very little money too.

Yep kept them away from the engine so they'll jus get air from underneath no the engine itself

Yea just dont drill holes in the right hand side facing the engine, keep em to the other side and the front on the left, dont want more hot air going in!!!

Had a K&N cone on bt got fed up with it and it felt slower.

Fitted standard airbox and it felt nippier...but lacked the sound.

So....i read TJ's topic about the pods panels etc....

So i had a little play about...

Chopped off the pipe inside the top of the airbox.
Removed the curved pipe inside the bottom bit of the airbox.

Drilled 3 1/2 inch holes on the front near the wing.
Drilled 3 1/2 inchholes on the bottom near the wing.
And drilled another 3 1/2 inch holes on the side which goes against th wing.

It feels quite a bit better to be honest, feels smoother and u can tell its gettin more air. And u can hear the burble like off an induction kit...but quieter.

I've just got the standard panel filter in at the moment. Am guessin a Green/K&N one wud make extra improvement/noise??
