you could take the plastic arch off, cover it in cling film using it as a mould by fibreglass matting over it. | |

just remove plastic arch put metal one there weld it on and smooth it in. | |

i agree wi adam, but id widen the arches by an in first with a block of wood and hammer, then weld them and smooth them, u really need a top quality welder then u use as little filler as poss! | |
