yeah my arches are scraping quite a bit, any that would make less scrubbing?

Not impressed by the 539s.

I've gone through two fronts in about 5 months. I'll try some Eagle F1s next and if they wear down the same, I'll stop slamming the car into roundabouts ;)

Each of the manufacturers above have budget as well as performance tyres.

Make sure you're getting prices on the high perf. ones.

Falkens are arse in the wet and wear quickly!

Avon ZZ3 in 205/40/17 are unbelievable! I paid £75 each for 2 and it transformed my car, (was using falkens)

Pay the extra £40 avons are the way forward. I also hera yoko a539s are good, someone i think TIM gets um cheap!

i wish we had those prices on toyo here. here you have to pay about 130 £ for each.

I changed my front 2 tyres only one since i had them and they lasted 8 months and the trackin was way out, now its all sorted i am sure my tyres will last over a year

leafgreencorsa

They will be soft and so won't wear as well. The hardest wearing tyres I've had have been Michelin Energy which went on for miles and miles but I ended up changing them when there was still loads of tread as I had no confidence in the handling of my car on a wet road.

FFW motorsport do them for that price 205/40/17 thats were i get all my tyres

If you can get Toyos at a price near that of the other tyres (which are all budget ones except Avon) then go for them. Had them on my Corsa B and they gripped well, especially in the wet.

these are the kumho i got a nice offer on

http://www.kumhousa.com/Products/PtnDetails.asp?mainCatID=1&PtnID=712&refAction=PtnDetail

i have heard that toyo tires are soft and they wear out faster. but that is just hear say. but they stick to the road very very well
