I had a fault low voltage across throttle position sensor, the ECU light used to come on and go off all the time, its only gotta be on for 30 seconds to log a fault, it dosnt always stay on when some thing is wrong only when a part fails completely normally the parts when they go work some times and not others

My GSi is the same. It's done it a few times. When there was sometime wrong with it I knew about it.

I got a GSI, find the fault code first doing the paper clip test go to www.topbuzz.co.uk to find out how to do it, the bulb aint at fault its saying something is wrong

if it comes on then goes off again n there seems to be no problems with the general driving, id say the fault was with the wiring to the bulb for the engine management light

I think this is a common fault on most corsas, there has been a few threads on this before, you do something called the "paper clip test", just do a search m8.

Hi,

Wonderin whether anyone can help? We own a 95 M Plated Corsa GSi With 78,000 on the Clock (Project BeenCruisin.co.uk)....

The problem is sometimes the (what I think is) Electrical Fault light comes on (Orange Light, with image of Engine with Lightning in it, just on the bottom left of the Rev Counter). It sometimes come on from cold start, or just when driving along, but then it will go off again... :boggle:

There seems to be no problems with the day to day running of the car, or with any of the electrics, everything works fine!

I took the car to my local garage whenthis problem 1st started and he said that a connector on a wire had become damaged, the previous owner had tried to repair it but not done it properly, but he had got the part from a
scrapyard and fixed it.... but it STILL does it!!!

Can anyone help?? please ;)
