it will be the linkage under the actual stick, i had a look at mine and there is quite a bit of play in it, i think they are an arse to change mate, they just get worn out, not sure how much but i guess quite allot

Its torture isn't it! :mad:
I've had to order a new stereo unit and rear speakers to drown out the noise.

So then, worn linkage - what does this mean in terms of ££££.
Can I fix it myself or is it a garage job (I am clueless about these things!)

i got the same problem, its a worn linkage matey, i always drive with me hand on the gear stick otherwise it drives me nuts

The gearstick in my Corsa Sport 1.6 16v has started buzzing and I'm wondering what might need doing to fix it.
I've caused it by driving round with my hand on the gearstick, and now it only stops if I pull upwards on it whilst driving!
Any clues on what I need to do to sort it?
