forget about drilling your air box go for the" bfo" mine now revs hard bounce off rev limiter and lots more pull in 5th gear sounds good too no problem after sitting at lights with heat soak the idle is now a tad lower but still smooth i felt the air filter and adapter after my drive was cool to touch

if i make an air tight box around the induction kit and have 2 or 3 air feeds coming into it from holes that the pipes are attached to, will it create a vacume effect when the induction kit wants to suck and therefore suck the cold air outta the feeds??

:)ive just installed a pod on my c ive got 2 65mm tubes from bumber also another one just to the right of headlight plus the standard ducting from old air box started it up sounds fine but ive noticed that the resonance box attached to air intake compresses when you give it a rev not sure if i sould remove it i will let you now how car runs as it gets a lot hotter in oz so if mines ok your will be sweet

corsa B mate. i dunno if they are flatspots or not. when the car has been idling for a bit, it is absolutly awful at pulling away. it sucks in all my engine heat and its like driving a 1.0 12V up to about 3000 revs in 1st 2nd and 3rd

might sound daft, but go to a garden centre, and buy a big galvanised steel plant pot, cut a hole in the bottom end with a holesaw and push cold air feed into it and make brackets to fix into place so that filter sits comfortably inside without rattling around. saw this being used on a corsa track car at lidden race track in kent. makes a great noise too.

on a serious note it wud b hard 2 seal a bfo as theres very little room 2 play with, mavs look like a good idea with a bigger airfeed and extend the metal work 2 the slam panel,a air feed from the under the head light 2 bottom of front bumper,i used a dish washer concertina pipeas u bend it fit

If you want a sealed airbox then make one from 3-4mm plywood (better insulator than alloys sheet) and make a box with no top that the bonnet seals on to. Then run an airfeed up from the front of the wing down to the bumper.

You know those tubes carpet gets wound onto. Theyre made of cardboard I think. If you could get one of these, coat it in epoxy glue and alu foil, and it should fit over the cone and block off the end with cardboard covered with foil again at each end and attach a aluminium vent pipe on one end. That'll do it.

What material do i use to make a heat shelid for the induction kit? Been Wickes, B & Q and they dont sell alloy sheets apparently of any sort?? I have a PVD BFO cone and i get really bad flatspots in low revs through 1st 2nd and 3rd. Does anyone have any pics of their heat shield and a simple guide on how to make one. do i just wrap it round the cone and fix it on somehow? cheers folks  |
