yeah change water pump, belt, idler pulley and tensioner. the idler pulley and tensioners on them are shit mate

1.4/1.6 16v should be one every 30K as they have been known to go before that time and the water pump and rollers should be chnaged at the same time :)

I know they need to be changed every 40,000 miles but is there also a time period of say 3 years
My cars a 1999 1.6 at 27,000 miles
