The 125 or 127 determines the speedo accuracy, what size wheels/tyres do you have?

double check you have wire from dash or transducer (Cant remember which) connected to ECU, this caused mega probs with my car cutting out.

the 127 or 125 is changeable by flicking the small microswitch at the top, this cant be anything to do with the dash, agree with cobra that it must be to do with maybe you disturbed a wire when wiring it up, check the wiring to the pickup around the ignition key if this is fitted to your car.

The wire to the ECU is for reading the speed, I doubt this would affect the starting/running, but its worth checking.

The blue/black wire is for the fuel gauge so it won't be that. I don't think it will be anything on the actual dash, like I said above, the car will still run with no dash in it. I'm wondering if perhaps he's disturbed something when cutting the loom possibly?

i had a prob when i had my digi dash in, the car would just cut out on its own, was one of the blue/black wires that controlled the idle of the car

When you turn on the ignition, does the dash do a self test, ie. everything lights up and the speedo reads 288?

quote: I'm wondering if maybe you have disturbed something by cutting the loom etc? Like I said, the car will run with no dash installed at all so I would guess its something other than the dash, although I wouldn't have a clue what it might be. Is the engine turning over?

what corsa (b or C) only guessing but if the its a c and they are anything like a mk4 golf, the dash will be at fault, coz you have to code in a new dash with the immobilser code and other mumbo jumbo when you replace them on a golf....
