I had this one - Alpine CVA-1003, i reckon it has the best sound for the money, and a decent picture.

ok like i said it all depends on your budget,

you could go on ebay right now and get one thats been mass produced in hong kong and put together by chimps,

this would set you back about 200 quid, again thats for a fully motorized unit that flips back into the DIN panel

i would go for alpine as their screens are ment to be the clearest, however others would say kenwood and pioneer are just as good

You can pick the Alpine unit as stated above for £549.99 online,

http://www.letsbuycaraudio.com/main/multiMedia/16

I always use this company, fast delivery, best prices, and great customer service if things go wrong,

Im sure we can sort somthing out regarding payment,

Ive taken a fancy to your plasma telly ;)

Righhtttt

Yes you can buy a motorised screen on its own,

The one im getting is the Alpine CVA-1004R

You will prob want the CVA-1004RR as that lights up all red and would look pretty sexy in ya car ;)

Its a fully motorised screen and it fits in a a single Din space, so you will have no probs making it fit in the MFD area,

    Detachable front panel
    Fully-motorized 6.5" wide screen monitor
    MaxTune SQ tuner
    12 FM/6 AM/18 XM presets
Bass Engine with bass and treble center frequency controls, bass width adjustment, plus subwoofer level/phase controls
    CD/MP3/DVD changer controls
    Auxiliary audio/video input
    Navigation input
    MOSFET45 internal amp
One set of 2-volt preamp outputs
    Optional wireless remote control
    Clock
    21 watts RMS/45 peak x 4 channels
    FM sensitivity 9.3 dBf

You will be able to connect this to ya rockford headunit so you can listen to the sound of the DVD or games etc via your current sound system,

There are lots of other units on the market, however personally i would always stick with alpine head units and audio visual hardware, they are the industry leaders!

You will have to start paying for my expertise soon

how you do this is another story :!:P;)

Dont start the rumours off already PainZ. You know what they're like on here
Now this might sound a bit thick, but I know nothing about screens and dvd stuff. I was planing on getting ps2 fitted so that would solve the dvd issue, but can I get a motorised screen on its own that I can fit into a modified MFD so that it folds away out of sight. That is the plan I've got with the screen.

Ta luv, and yes, I luv it :P

Hiya chuck!

It really depends on your budget,

You could spend 300 and have a pretty basic dvd and screen or you could spend 1800+ and get the best of the best Alpine Built in DVD player,

If you want a built in motorized screen and DVD i would surgest spending the extra cash and get this,

The other ay to do it (like my self) Is to buy a motorized screen (a alpine one for 600) and then buy a PS2 for 130 quid and link them together,

this way u can play games if you really want to, but you have DVD player also,

This is the cheapest way to have a DVD player in ya car,

hope this helps

Pete
