the guy in vauxhall, when my mum was getting her new corsa, told us the ecotec 1.2 had the same power as her old 1.4 pre eco engine, this being the reason she didnt get the 1.4 SRi.

The eco's make less power, but are newer. Weigh it up.

the c20xe(red top) has 150bhp and about 150lb/ft of torque, where the x20xev has about 136bhp and alot less torque, the c20xev is the newer engine of the 2 and it all depends on what you want personally i'd go for the c20xe but thats based on the fact that i ain't bothered about how many miles a engines done etc,and i'd sooner have the power

C20XE is pre-Ecotec one, it's better cuz it's got more power! Ie. 150bhp compared to XEV's 135-ish.
