i feel u need to establish that this was just a normal cupra, not a cupra R, the normal 180bhp cupra's will not pull a low 14 sec qtr

stats for cupra 20VT:
0-60: 7.7
180bhp
power: weight = 137bhp
142mph
1322kg

stats for standard clio 16v:
0-60: 7.7
137bhp
power: weight 140bhp
130mph
960kg

standard for standard they are a close match

cliosport.net - bunch of warranty loving young peopl ehating mongaloids in my experience - u need to get over to us at woah - we havea couple of renault boys who know thier stuff.

youi might even know them off cliosport anyway

sooty leave me alone - its only a site for me and my pals to cock about on instead of doing work - but there are some peeps onthere who do know their stuff - plus we have had exclusive first pics of some quality motors - a clio gtt and jill's awesome corsa - so its not that bad - how would you have me improve it?

i always ask and no-one ever comes up with any ideas for improvement

ps sorry for the blatant hijacking of this thread

i wasnt comparing cliosport to mine - i appreciate that its no where near as big - but then its not aimed at the same market so to speak - and i wasnt getting emotional i am only messing about - althought i would be open to improvement suggestions of course

at the mo its just breathin easier, front of the airbox cut off with cold air feed plus a full stainless steal exhaust, so i only expect a few extra horse's from that

but if i can find the bar stewarding rolling road then i can get at max an extra 10bhp buy adusting the fuel warmup regulator as all 16v's run lean at high rpm's as standard

apparently VAG done this to keep it from getting to close to the 160bhp G60's

also running Eibach ARB's which give the car an unreal turn in!!

if it wasn't for these manx tossers bla bla bla

i was just overtaken by a Leon Cupra 20VT about 5 mins ago when i was already flooring it. Not really suprising as i have a 1.4 8v SRi, but just thought id mention it!

My mate just rang me, it was his friends car that overtook me! My engine is fucked though, might take a loan out to get the 2.0 16v as i dont want to spend £500 on this one when i want to replace it next year anyway. Ill race him again then!

alot of people seem to underestimate clio 16v's, ive seen and drove some very quick ones, theyd give the 2.0 corsa boys a run for their money
