the nova shot to 60 in 2.9 or was it 3 seconds which is quicker than lucky b's corsa, but the corsa was only single engine

Daimo, these cars dont seem to of been tested using Datron or similar timing equipment.
The 0-60 is "approx 5.0sec" and IMO a 5-600bhp front wheel drive car using Toyo Proxes tyres ins't going to have a good 0-60 time.
All its gonna do is wheelspin!
Their isn't even a mention of an LSD in his spec sheet!
Think about it...
Also the 2.0 turbo Astra is slower than my old car and i didn't even have a turbo.
Would you like a spoon for that humble pie?

Clearly that Nova should be faster top speed than my OLD car but i'm just trying to point out to Daimo that i doubt its quicker to 60mph.

Vibrio is right - that torque curve is sh1te. The car would be far quicker in real driving conditions with a more even spread of torque, even though peak power would drop. Still, having said that, I wouldn't mind a spin in it as it is

Dave, agreed, i lost the plot with that one, this particular nova, i admit, will probably loose out to urs over 0-60, i was going on about the twin LET Nova  Doh doh doh.
Anyway, back to my point though now im on about the right subject. I still stand by my fact that im sure the guy knows that the engine was going to produce power like that, thats what comes with a big turbo. Agreed a smaller turbo will decrease top end power but make thecar more drivable, but, im sure the guy new this when he set to work on it and wanted a high bhp car
