...a K&N 57i for my Coupé Turbo before Sunday? Anyone know anywhere with huge stocks of induction kits?

Don't say PVD cos they won't be able to deliver it b4 Sunday, they take weeks so I've heard.

I know an induction kit is not good for the road but I litteraly just want to fit it just for Sunday!

I'm going to Santa Pod with my mate in his standard Elise and know that his book time is 14.8 @ 94mph and that mine is 15.2 @ 93mph so already there is not much in it.

Just want that extra bit of omphhh on the day to get the times closer.

Not going to keep it on all the time.

Patrick, fitting that air filter will probably make it slower.

a K&n will make the car slower as it will suck all the hot air in

if anything, but a proper one on like a viper, which is heat proof and connects into the ducting (these work ok with vaux) but IMO i wouldnt bother

No, don't say PVD because they don't supply K&N filters.

PVD supply Pipercross induction kits - PK154 for your vehicle - £87.99, in stock and will be with you for tomorrow if you order before 1pm.

Alternatively, a PVD panel filter - £24.95 and also on the shelf.

Add a cold air feed for 20.99.

Carriage £7.95 on induction kits, £5 for panel filter.

Changing the air filter will make the throttle more responsive and increase the induction note.

Any power gains are a bonus.

A correctly modified airbox with K&N or similar panel filter works much better than an open cone filter.

Pipercross Viper does the same job as a modified box and panel filter, as the 'filter' is enclosed in a cylinder. Hence why most people would rather modify their airbox and pay £20-£40 for an aftermarket panel filter, as opposed to nearly £200 for a Pipercross Viper.
