.....and it just reminds me how slow the majority of the user's cars on here really are. I've bin out in tuned 1.6's sports, turbo SRi's etc and a few corsa valvers, and it really does put em in the shade. We were leaving Corsa sports like they were standing still.

The acceleration difference of the nova with a stripped out rear makes an unbelieveable difference. Yes i no its a nova, i no its 13 years old, but this isnt a statement bout comforts and quality of build. Just bout how sloppy our corsas really are.

Just thought i'd share that with you. Discuss at will.

Matt

didnt say that once tho did i mate? I said i've bin out in a few valver corsa's, 3 in fact, and the feelin of acceleration was as great. When it was totally std, it did the pod in 14.4s. 0-60, just under 6.3s. A local vauxhall tunin garage done a valver corsa (std motor), was doin 7.1 0-60's....which is a fair difference.

been out in and driven a few valver novas including turbo and the big difference is the way a corsa with a 2.0l 16v puts the power down but as soon as the nova hits 3rd gear the power to weight difference makes a big difference.

I agree with ya, the nova spins up bad to start, especially in the wet, but coz its on 7x17", power gets down quite well in the dry.
