I wouldn't go for a Cup model. I'd prefer the fully specced up version. As air con is a must IMHO.

According to what car the CRT takes 6.8 to 60 as does the Clio Cup.

The Clio 172 (normal version) takes 7.2 to 60.

What about an Astra Gsi Turbo which does the 60 sprint in 7.0?

u not read the stats above then.

yeah those stats are wrong, the 172 does 0-60 in 7.0 the cup does it in 6.5, plus it has much more usable power, and actually has some pull at low revs

oh, silver cups have only been around for 2-3 weeks, reason i know this is becasue the guy my mate got his clio 16v from has a silver cup.

Interesting. any idea how much more from memory? I'm going for a look at cars over the weekend so would be interested.

Thing is you can get the 172 specced up version for 12 grand brand new from motorpoint (although that might be nonsense to get folk through the door)

Target price of a 172 cup is 12,348 from the dealers.

Hmmm, the 172 specced up is probably an import I would imagine at that price so wouldn't have the full 3 year (1 man/2 dealer) warranty.

Oh well, all will be revealed this weekend.

Renault or Honda?!?!
WHy the fuck is this thread still going
Get the CTR. The new shape Clio is pants and the Honda has a VTEC engine - high revving and tuneable.
Whats so special about the clio?
