Savannah, del mar and mambo are in the west end, prolly the western tip as they are right on the beach or collection of rocks 
I would rather stay in the bay its more chilled out and if you do want to get some sleep on the odd night you will be able to unlike if you stayed in the town. Its a 20/30 min walk depending on where you are in the bay, but you can walk by the beach on the way in a stop at some bars. Or you can get a ferry if you are right at the far end of the bay which takes you into the town.
There are quite a few cheesie karoke bars, didnt go in them though

just to add, i strongly advise a couple of nights out in ibiza town if you want to see the real ibiza and get away from lager nobbers.

we stayed both in the back streets of san antonio & also in the bay
the wee place we stayed in in the town was class, stones throw from the Egg roundabout so handy to everywhere really
we stayed at the bottom of the bay, so it only took bout 20mins to walk into the town, quite a good walk actually as you can stop of at a good view bars on the way round.
also, if your looking somewhere to go from about 6am onwards then go to the Star Bar, its about 15mins walk up the road from Bar M
lets just say u'll get whatever you want in it! great wee place! dark & clubby inside, sit outside while the sun comes up!!

Cant recommend Ibiza Town highly enough me and a couple of mates are renting a Villa on the outskirts for the closing down parties in sept

my mate is doing this also, he's going in two weeks
3 couples - flights, villa, 2 cars, just outside San An - for £630 each!!
its the spending money that wrecks me! last time i was there was 3 yrs ago and spent £1100, £700 was in the first week!

Ibiza is quality.. I wouldn't stay in the west end tho.. Its a bit of a Sh*t hole..
The Bay is nicer and you get to watch the topless birds sun bathing from ya room!

aye the terrace is sooooo shít all the women are ugly as fúck and the beer is warm and served in smelly plastic glasses, and the music is full scooter material - and as for planes flying above...well if your into remote controlled airplanes then its definitly the spot for you!!
aye right!! is it fuk! the terrace has got the best of everything on the island!!!
Bora Bora opposite is also good to go to chill out & lie on the beach before going back onto the terrace!!

also, dont just stick to the big english club nights either, try things like the italian club nights etc, you see women there that you would think could never exist!!
