I've borked my mum's laptop, and it needs a legal copy of XP Pro on it... the manufacturers didn't supply a lisence with the laptop, and they are trying to say we have lost it... it supposed to be stuck on the case isn't it?

Anyway, anyone have an idea how much a single user educational license costs?

Can srt you out with an original XP Pro disc and a legit product key very cheaply if you like...

im sure i had an xp disk somewhere dunk, just normal tho, i aint even used it

Does it need any of the activation crap?

Marv, it needs to be Pro for the network setup we have at home

£80 isn't too bad though.

We have the XP disk... but the manufacturer didn't stick the CD certificate of authenticity sticker onto the laptop. Which means I can't reinstall XP...grr

We had that and complained that worked, but should be a sticker on the bottom of the lappie, thats where most of ours are, who make the laptop?
