After 16 years in my current job, I've landed a new one.

I'm becoming Electrical Shift Engineer at DS Smith (European leader in recycled packaging). Activities will include maintaining plant and automation systems, conveyors and the like. Healthy pay rise is appealing as well as potential for new skill sets including boiler house maintenance (2 x 10 ton steam boilers) and PLC training.

All in all, I'm quite excited about it!

The difficulty will be swapping from weekly to monthly pay, especially working a month in hand as I'll no income for around 5 weeks
