During the tennis final on Sunday Eurosport had a scroll message saying to call sky to complain about it. The commentators said about it too. Must have been a mega amount of complaints coming through.

Obviously both companies where going to lose out on a chunk of money if they broke up their partnership, I'm sure it made financial sense in the end to just kiss and make up

why?

Discoverys channels are available on other platforms aswell. They would still make a fair chunk of wedge from Virgin/all the other big names in the game.

Sky were risking losing a huge number of customers and I think in the end, they realised it wasn't a risk worth taking.

No doubt there will have been a compromise between both parties, but I reckon Sky came out looking worse than Discoverys owners.
