TBF they arnt that costly to run either.

£55/60 per fill gets around 300miles driving nicely

Oil Change £160
Plugs + Oil £500

Brakes are around 1k all round, tyres around the same.

Clutch if it goes £1500 at BMW indy's

Mines had everything done minus the clutch

I've noticed that as well. Been looking at cars around that budget. The internet tells you they cost loads to maintain but I'm not too sure what's different from them and other performance cars.

If you go BMW you'll get your arse abused. 3k clutch change, 288 oil change, 800+ plugs & oil. Throttle actuators 1200 each

Why would anybody ever go to BMW?

I've got a few cars on my wanted list and I can't see why an M5 would be any worse to maintain. Should really go view one.

Fair play to you for doing it in an M5!

I complain about doing 70 miles a day in my LPG'd Mondeo ST220 lol

Been looking at mapping options today. Seem to get around 40bhp from either DMS or Evolve both pretty we respected in the BMW world.

They removed the torque limiter on gears 3-7 and remove the full limiter. Cost isn't cheap though near 1k for a map!

I wouldn't have said it sounded weak. Certainly make them a bit more raw but you need some sort of refinement still.
