Looks a lovely example. As soon as those speedlines are silver there'll be no contest on which wheels look better. Will look perfect.

Looks great, I really like the colour of the wheels as they are against the smoke grey.. Some 100+mm rear lowering springs and it would look perfect.

Do them silver and they will do so much better than the originals.

Mani cover looks really smart to be honest, did you scratch it getting it back in? I remember painting mine on my old gsi and scratching the hell out of it putting it back on lol. Looks really well this car bud.

*Smoke Grey*

Undoubtedly the best colour, my old one looked so good when it was freshly painted

Good job you checked the belt out!

Doing any shows this year?

[Edited on 20-01-2016 by Ian W]

pardon my blasphemy lol

I sold it because i didn't have a garage etc to store it/work on it, the missus was giving me ear-ache about it and i put the money towards a mortgage. It's now in Sunderland. I offered the guy 2.5k to have it back but he declined lol.

I have the lad on my fb, looks well

Yeah it looks nice, head gaskets just gone on it though recently, he offered me it back recently but wanted a lot of money for it. It's a nice example of a GSI tho and he's a top lad. Quick pic of the day it left

Underneath was okay but the rear sills needed doing which he got done and got it MOT'd. Think he wanted 2200 with a potentially blown HG, which I don't think is that bad but I'd already bought this red one and have spent around that on it lol.

Bodywork was pretty good tbh, had the usual lacquer peel on the spoiler, bonnet could of done with being repainted, but had nothing wrong with it. Guy I bought it off his wife had it for something like 21 years so it was completely standard when I got it. If I hadn't bought my red one I'd of likely bought it back I regretted selling it that much.

All good cheers mate, I wouldn't have got rid if I had somewhere to store it. For how clean it was, I didn't want it to develop any rust or anything so was best to just let it go to somewhere who could dry store it.

I very nearly sold my Astra so I can use the GSi everyday

I would love to daily my GSi but I am paranoid about leaving it anywhere, not so much about the car being stolen but jacking covers, speedline centre caps etc

I think exactly the same..I wouldn't go and stick it on a car park and expect some bits and pieces left on it especially some places by me lol
