So this shit just went down in my back garden

Circled the house at that height three times, lowered the gear as you can see in the vid, hovered for a bit then buggered off

Looks like a Merlin i think Either way, i suspect it was training.

Tbh, we get them training around here although it tends to be Chinook's and Apache's - an Apache popping out from behind a load of trees is a sight

Yeah often get low stuff here regularly, it was very weird how it circlled the house 3 times, then got that low put its wheels down to land, hovered then flew off. Never seen that before.

Googled it a bit, could have been something called touch and go training, where they practice a simulated war zone pick up
